Editorial office (manuscripts & reviews)

Routine author questions — status checks, reviewer extensions, formatting — will be handled through the submission system’s messaging centre once launched. Email overflow will use a @journal-british-economics.org-style address (exact domain TBA) to reduce spam and to archive official decisions.

Expected response window: two business days for administrative queries, five business days when editor consultation is required.

Publisher & production

Typesetting, issue compilation, and metadata deposit will be coordinated by the publishing partner (contract pending). Invoice, subscription, or bulk access questions unrelated to peer review should be directed to the publisher’s customer service desk when listed in the masthead.

Media, permissions, and reuse

Routine guidance for press, classroom use, and figure permissions is collected on the rights & permissions page. Journalists should still use this form with topic Media and “MEDIA QUERY” in the subject; editors may suggest on-the-record author contacts but cannot guarantee availability.

Complaints & ethics

For allegations of research misconduct or editorial conflict, contact the publisher’s research integrity officer with subject line “JBE ethics”. Include sufficient detail for triage; anonymous complaints are accepted but may limit follow-up. COPE-aligned timelines aim for initial acknowledgment within five business days.
